Adoption, fostering, short break and kinship care

Information about the different ways you can support a child, or young person, who may be experiencing issues while living in the family home. 

Health visiting and family nurse visits

Support with parenting, planned visiting at key times for infant development, including specialist support for first time young mums.

Immunisation and child health

Providing immunisation, screening, and health review programmes for pre-school and school aged children and young people.

Infant feeding support

Support with breastfeeding, combination, and formula feeding, including one to one support for first time mums.

Looked after children and Throughcare

Information about looked after children, who are in the care of their local authority, and support for young people moving on to live independently.

Residential care for children and young people

Accommodation and support to safeguard children and young people, either short or long term.

School nurses support the health and wellbeing of all school aged children and provide targeted support where required.
