More people are living with, and surviving, cancer than ever before, and they want to be able to go back to their normal lives after their cancer diagnosis.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer, there is a range of information available to help you at every stage of your journey.

This includes:

The following local and national resources may be helpful:

  • Ayrshire Cancer Support provide practical help and emotional support to people in Ayrshire affected by cancer
  • Arran Cancer Support is provided by a specialist nurse, based on the island, phone 01770 601052
  • Beatson Cancer Charity’s specialist Health and Work team can help employees and employers with cancer-related health and work issues
  • Macmillan Cancer Support offers a range of information services to support people with cancer
  • NHS Ayrshire & Arran has details of cancer services and what to expect from testing and treatment
  • North Ayrshire Cancer Care offers support groups, along with free transport for cancer appointments
