The Blue Badge Scheme (BBS) entitles disabled drivers and passengers to parking concessions. A blue badge permits drivers to park:

  • On single or double yellow lines as long as it is safe to do so and there are no restrictions on loading or unloading

  • In public on-street parking places

  • In some private car parks

Badges cost £20 and are valid for a period of 1 to 3 years

For further information please read the Blue Badge Scheme rights and responsibilities in Scotland.

Coronavirus Update: Please note that if you have a blue badge which expired after 31 December 2019, you can continue to use this until 30 September 2020.
